About Wildfire logistics
In 1998, Wildfire started with one man and a vacuum truck. Working in the remote Alberta oilfields, the founder, Peter Gross, worked for years until his sons were able to join him. As the business has grown, we have expanded our fleet to include oil tankers and gravel trailers. We have been in business for over 25 years and have worked in the Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and North Dakota oilfields. Our headquarters are currently based out of Whitemouth, Manitoba, Canada and Killdeer, North Dakota, United States of America.
We specialize in safely transporting hazardous material such as oil, condensate, and produced water. This has lead to opportunities in Canada as well as the United States. We have a safety program and guidelines for our team that enable us to have more hands-on training with our drivers. Our equipment is made specifically for these industries and is regularly tested as well as maintained.
Our team has specialized skills and training that allow our drivers to buy oil, safely load from LACTs on remote locations, and test oil samples to ensure it meets the standards of pipeline oil facilities. Our drivers are trained to mask up properly to protect themselves from the dangerous gases and byproducts produced by the fluids that we haul. Also, our crew is comprised of experienced drivers who have developed skills that allow us to access remote job sites with confidence, such as chaining multiple axles to safely drive into mountainous locations during extreme weather conditions.

In the early days of the business, Peter, the founder, was on the telephone speaking with an agent who was assisting with corporation paperwork, and he realized that they quickly needed a name for their new business. Peter looked to his wife for guidance in picking the name. She noticed that her son was playing with a toy truck, which happened to have "Wildfire" painted on the side. Peter's wife showed him the truck. They smiled at each other, nodded, and told the agent the company name, "Wildfire".
